Through ProCo’s desire to continually improve their customer offer, they have developed and implemented a bespoke variable data system for DFS. Not only has this enabled us to save considerable costs, it has made the whole process more streamlined and much more manageable.

What was previously a long process of artworking, proofing, amending and re-artworking is now achieved in a much more compressed timescale – enabling us, as a retailer, to employ a critical ‘just in time’ approach.

Whilst working within very demanding lead-times and with strict quality controls, ProCo always provide excellent end products to our 75 stores on time, every time.

think sofas, think dfs….is the strap line that is making DFS the name in furniture.

In the production of eight campaigns a year with up to 500 individual products, all needing price tickets, credit tickets and savings discs, ProCo has been proactive in providing cost and time savings to DFS.

From receipt of concept artwork, all variables are flowed in from spreadsheets and soft proofed by PDF on FTP; litho printed; die cut; trimmed; drilled; eyeleted; strung; packed into ranges; collated into packs for 78 stores nationwide and dispatched, usually within a two to three week turnaround.

The seasonal nature of the DFS account is handled as a “project” within ProCo, with a dedicated production based Account Management Team who handles the campaigns from quote, through production to delivery and invoice.

Amends and tight turnarounds are continual challenges, with ProCo’s digital and direct marketing solutions proving an invaluable resource.
